Mashup artist DJ Earworm from San Francisco is going viral with his latest mixvideo entitled Summermash ’16.
In 2008 Jordan Roseman (aka DJ Earworm) started posting his United States of Pop mashup videos that featured every song in the Billboard Top 25. Then in 2013 he launched the Summermash series that incorporates all the biggest songs of the summer. The 2016 tape has already been shared by Cosmopolitan, Entertainment Weekly, MTV News, Time Magazine, Seventeen Magazine, USA Today and more.
When he produces his mashups, DJ Earworm looks for an instrumental to “drive the mashup.” If he can’t find a certain instrumental or acapella version, he isolates it in Adobe Audition or Prosoniq sonicWORX Isolate.
This isn’t Earworm’s first brush with Internet fame. His most popular video United States of Pop 2009 (Blame It on the Pop) has collected nearly 47 million views since being uploaded six years ago. A lot of his other mixtapes have gone viral as well.
Check out the mashup video via DJ Earworm’s YouTube channel, and see the track listing below.
